An organization responsible for managing claims associated with a large-scale water crisis faced the complex challenge of processing more than one million claims within a limited timeframe. The claims package included a wide variety of handwritten and unstructured documents, such as birth certificates, tax records, and supporting evidence required for claim validation.
Given the scale of the initiative, the organization needed a solution capable of rapidly indexing both physical and digital documents while maintaining exceptional accuracy. Traditional manual processing methods were not feasible due to the volume of records, tight deadlines, and stringent quality requirements.
To address these challenges, Infognana implemented a comprehensive document processing solution powered by advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology. The system converted scanned and digital documents into machine-readable formats and automatically indexed information across 20 different document types.
Key data elements, including claimant names, birth dates, claim numbers, and other critical identifiers, were intelligently extracted and organized for easy retrieval. To ensure the highest levels of accuracy, handwritten and complex documents underwent Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) quality assurance, where trained specialists reviewed and validated extracted data before final processing.
Once indexed and verified, documents were securely stored in the cloud and assigned unique reference links, enabling fast, organized, and scalable access to claim information.
The project successfully processed and indexed more than one million claim-related documents while maintaining 100% indexing accuracy. Infognana met the organization’s demanding timeline and delivered a structured, searchable, and highly accessible repository of claims data.
